About

Dear Reader,

When did you last travel to Asia?

When was the last time someone spoke to you about doing business in Asia or talking about Asia as a prospective region to do business?
Maybe you are seeking new avenues of doing business or have Asian business partners and prospects with whom you want to establish firm relationship. Or perhaps you want to know what Asian culture is all about.

Here on Sharp End Training Asia, we seek to provide a platform to serve your needs getting to know Asian business culture, language and people better.

When you read this, what will be your first question. So what is your identity?

Asian people like me who have parents with differnt cultural or racial backgrouds (Javanese/Palembang, Chinese/Malay, Malay/European, Chinese/Indian etc) often face a lot of challenges because they have to keep up with tradition, culture, language, fashion, food etc. We grow to become multilingual. Even within the same race like Javanese, there are ethnic groups that go by different names, Minang, Ponogoro etc.

To be Asian is fun. To be Asian is tough and to be Asian is colourful. On the surface, we all go about our business and daily activities like everybody else, but deep within us, we are steadfast to our life principles, stay true to our cultures and traditions, and have earned a lot of respect from our business friends because of this loyalty we demonstrate to our principles, cultures and traditions.

It is upon this fun, tough and colourful identity that we in Sharp End Training Asia would like to present to you areas in business networking which we know is essential to your business success in Asia.
